The interior of an existing building in Carlsbad was transformed into a modern office environment for AirSpace Technologies.
Airspace Technologies wanted new offices that kept the somewhat scruffy feel the company had as a startup but also projects a modern, cleaner looks of a company on the move. The project took what was an empty shell on the second floor and turned the 23,000 SF space into a more sophisticated and connected environment. The space is designed around three neighborhoods that divide their departments their own work areas tailored to their activities. There are meeting areas in a mix of enclosed rooms and impromptu stand-up work areas. There are also more private offices and phone or focus pods. The central reception area, board room and break area were designed as a hub for workers to collaborate among the various departments and welcome visitors.
Airspace Technologies is a logistics company that focuses on the quick delivery of crucial items, from human organs for transplant to airplane parts.
